    C-Term

    Sequence

    EQKLISEEDL

    Specificity

This antibody detects the 62 kDa c-myc gene product, which is involved in the regulation of the cell cycle and cell growth. This antibody may also be used to detect the commonly used c-myc tag.

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

    Species reactivity (tested):Human.

    Purification

    Affinity Chromatography on Protein G.

    Immunogen

Synthetic peptide sequence AEEQKLISEEDLL corresponding to the C-terminal region of Human c-myc. Spleen cells from immunised Balb/c mice were fused with cells of the myeloma cell line.

    Isotype

    IgG1
  • Application Notes

Flow Cytometry: Use 10 μL of neat antibody to label 10^6 cells in 100 μL. Membranepermeabilisation is required for this application. Immunoflourescence. Immunohistochemistry on Frozen Sections.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Background

P62c-myc is primarily located to the cell nucleus, but has also been shown to localised to the cytoplasm in several cell lines. Overexpression of c-myc has been reported in a wide variety of human cancers.Synonyms: c-myc tag, myc tag, myc-tag
